Saving Wonderland

Heavy wingbeats lulled through the darkness, as rain beat relentlessly down upon the beast. It landed on the side of a tree trunk, the deadly taloons scrambling to gain hold. I slipped off of Malirth's back and onto a large branch, looking around. I reached into my jacket and pulled out a small glowing piece of moss. It was weak, the blue light cast off only shedding around four feet. I carefully walked forward, refusing to look down as I approached the tree house. I stiffled the light, and knocked four times quickly against the door. I glanced back towards Malirth but he was lost inb darkness, only the eery sound of scraping talons and gnashing teeth signs of his close presance. "White Alice, I request a word." I called out boldly, ignoring the pelting rain that soaked cold down to the very bones of my body.

I glaired at Gwen. "How do all these people know you're here?" I asked her, becoming more angry.

"I have no idea. Only the guards followed me. I promise you, I'll get you an new hide out with the Black Alice's magic" I said as I looked at the door. I was scared to answer it for I needed the Spade Rebellion. I looked around and opened a window, "i'll be back," I said as I jumped out the window and walked towards Primrose, "you wish to see me?"

"House someone? who and how?" I raised my eyebrow at her. 

Two red eyes could be seen from behind me as I looked back. "Him." I said as Malirth slid out of the shadows.

"So by housing you mean protect or what?" i asked. I was a bit confused since it's been a few weeks since I've been here. 

I gave a nervous smile and dipped my head as I said, "In a ways. Just keep him hidden is all. Can I sk that of you?"

My shoulders sagged briefly as relief flooded over me. "Thank you so much, you've just saved his life." I said brimming with gratitude.

I picked up the pen and looked at it a little, then stuffed it in my back pocket. "Well, that was a strange and probably pointless encounter." I said to myself.

I hugged Malirth's neck fondly burrying my face in his soft fur briefly as I muttered, "You stay here and do as she says until I come for you." He let out a low growl and nodded. "And no eating any of them!" I called after him as he was lead away.

I looked scared when she said eat, "Eat?" I said nervously, "I don't think I taste good."

I remained inside until I was absolutely sure there were no more guards, then went outside to see The White Alice down bellow standing with a large beast. I gasped and grabbed my bow and quiver. I drew an arrow and aimed down at the beast, holding my fire until some kind of advance was made.

I waved by to Vienna and smiled. Letting her know the beast is harmless at the moment

I pushed the arrow forward and put it back in the quiver, slinging my bow around my shoulder. I then jumped down and met with the White Alice. "Who's your friend?" I asked.

"His name is Marlith, I am watching over him for a while," I said as she jumped down
